Since the last update, we were in Edmonton for Easter. We had a great visit with Mom and Dad and saw the rest of the family for Easter Sunday dinner. Of course, the Easter Bunny found Mason in Edmonton and spoiled him rotten. He must have hidden at least 40 eggs. But, it's a good thing that the Easter Bunny knows how picky Chris and I are about what Mason eats, because he filled up the eggs with healthy snacks (raisins, fruit snacks, etc.). That Easter Bunny is one smart guy!!
This Easter Bunny even left a few gifts for Mason. He got his first set of golf clubs, a lawn mower to help Daddy with the yard work and a new bike (well, the bike was actually from Grandpa and Grandma).
Like I said, the family came over for Easter dinner and a great visit. I had to post this picture of Dad and Grandma because I just think it's soooo cute!

Nothing like good old Mr. Bunny
In April, Chris and I celebrated our 21st birthdays. It's great to be so young. Mason has quickly caught on to the concept of opening presents so of course, he helped Chris. Chris and I bought each other (and Mason) a trip to Halifax. We're going for 8 days in August. We are going for our friends Reuben and Michaela's wedding. While we're there, we've rented an RV and plan to tour around Nova Scotia and a little bit of PEI. We might try to see Cape Breton Island but we'll see how time goes. Aside from the wedding, my number one priority is Anne of Green Gables house (it's the 100th anniversary of the book being published so I think there will be some great things to see)!!
With all of the warm weather, we've been spending so much time outside. Mason now goes to the back door and grabs his rubber boots, stands at the door and says "UH". This means, I want to go outside and play. He could spend all day outside if we let him. If anyone has any good tips on how to bring a child back inside without a major meltdown, please let us know!!!
Mason's buddy Rory on the swings (Isn't he just too cute. This was one of his first times at the park and I think we can all agree that he had a great time)!

As for what else is new with our little man (no longer my baby). Well, he can eat with utensils now. It's still a little messy, but he is adamant that we do not feed him and he does it himself! He is running like crazy, jumping on all of the furniture, playing ball and trucks, and dunking his basketball (probably his favorite past time). He is also really starting to talk. The main words are apple, na-nan-na (banana), daddy, ball, hi, oh-no, uh-oh, O (for the letter O, yes he already has magnetic letters that we use to review the letters of the alphabet)!, dadu for Molly, good girl, and I'm sure that I'm still missing some.
Mason is also in Music lessons once a week. We sing songs, learn to keep the beat, play with instruments... It's lots of fun and Mason loves to go.
That's all for now. I will try to post sooner, but you know how things go. I hope all is well with everyone. Please keep in touch and enjoy this beautiful spring!
