I can't believe that it's been over a month since our last update. I also can't believe that I'm due in about 3 months! Time is just flying by.
Chris and I have had a great, relaxing summer. We've been laying pretty low here in Grande Prairie. Last week we went to Banff for the Skins Game with mom and dad. We had such a great time (even though we didn't get to spend much time with mom). It was really nice to spend a few days being pampered in the Banff Springs Hotel and by a very excited Grandpa-to-be! We were also planning to head south to visit Jordan and Elaine but, unfortunately, they both got sick and we weren't able to go. They are coming to Grande Prairie for a wedding next weekend so at least we'll see them then.
Back home, the pregnancy is still going really well. I'm still feeling great (during the day anyway) and enjoying these months as much as I can. As you can see from the pictures, I am getting huge! My weight gain is still in the healthy range but I sure do look big!
The thing I'm enjoying the most about being pregnant is all of the baby's movements. It's very regular now and sometimes I just lay back and watch my belly moving around (girl or boy, I've got a acrobat growing inside of me)!
I still don't have any specific cravings, however, I do have some favorite foods; and they're not that healthy. I'm really into pickles, onion rings, hot chocolate and, luckily, all types of fruit.
The funniest thing about my pregnancy has got to be my wild dreams. Every day I wake up from another adventure in some crazy world. Chris just shakes his head as I replay the dream (all details intact) for him. I'm sure the highlight would have to be the morning I woke up yelling, "Chirs! Are we late for the helicopter or boat ride?"
If I had any complaints (which I won't make too loudly) it would be that I'm not sleeping very well. This is the only time that I have any back pain. I'm experimenting with 6 pillows now and it seems to be helping a bit.
Well, here's a few pictures to enjoy; please don't laugh too hard at the enormous belly (I still have 3 more months of growing to go). We've also nearly finished the nursery so I thought you might like to see our progress.
Until next time,
Love,
Chris and Jenn
