Not much is new this week in the winter land of Grande Prairie. It's been really cold, we've had freezing rain and now ice so we haven't been doing too much. Mason had a few more first this week. He is now officially rolling over from his front to his back. This is wonderful for Mason because he's not a huge fan of tummy time and can escape quite easily! He has also been working very hard at reaching for things and can now grasp some objects. He loves to reach for the animals above him in his swing. However, his favorite toy used to be his Ocean Wonders bouncy chair but since he can't reach the little fish, he gets very frustrated.
Grandma Tannis and Princess Mason
On Sunday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Trydal's house for dinner. While we were there Caryse wanted to play princess with Grandma. Tannis was holding Mason at the time but Caryse wasn't about to let this stop her. So, next thing we know, Mason is also playing princess!!
Erin and I went swimming again this week. Mason really loves the water, especially now that has outgrown baths in the kitchen sink and is in the big tub. But, there was a little "situation" at the pool. Don't tell anyone but... Mason pooped in the pool. And for those of you who've had 2 month old babies, I wouldn't say that their poop is real solid. Needless to say, Erin and I were surrounded by floaties. We looked at each other, grabbed the boys, and high tailed it out of there. It was a close call but no one was caught!!! If you are totally disgusted by my lack of responsibility in this situation, don't worry. I got my pay back with a lovely allergic reaction to the chlorine ( a lovely rash that resembles chicken pox)! I think the funniest thing about the situation was that Erin stopped to suggest I take a picture of the "floaties" for a scrapbook page. Don't worry, I didn't.
Mason and I are flying to Edmonton on Sunday for Raquel's bridal shower. It will be a very interesting week so I write soon,
Love Jenn
