Less than 6 weeks to go!!!

8 Months

Can you believe that this baby may be born this month??? I can't believe it and neither can Chris.
As we approach the final stretch of the pregnancy, lots of things are ready for baby. We've got 1 prenatal class left, we bought a brand new truck (with four doors) yesterday, the hospital bag is half packed, all the baby clothes are washed... we just need our little sweetheart and we're set!
We're both getting so excited. Chris talks to the baby (my belly!) a lot. He keeps asking him/her what they look like and when he'll get to meet them! He's also very concerned about me doing too much. It's really nice to be spoiled like this. I can't even get a glass of juice without Chris jumping up and doing it for me. I have to admit I have the best husband in the world.

In terms of health, I'm still doing pretty good. Of course, I'm starting to get a little more uncomfortable. My biggest problem is that I can't sleep. It's really affecting me and I'm actually going to be done work quite a bit earlier than expected because of it. This Friday, October 6, will be my last day. Knowing that I'll have some time to rest is the one thing that is keeping me positive right now. For about a week I was pretty frustrated, whinny, and bummed out. I don't do well without sleep (something that may be an issue with a newborn baby)!!

I'm still going for regular doctor's appointments (every 2 weeks) and she did find a little something at my last ultrasound. It turns out I'm on the high end for levels of amniotic fluid. This isn't anything to work about (although I am) but I do have to watch for signs of premature labor. I guess the fluid can trick my body into thinking it's time to have the baby. So, we're watching closely.
We're heading to Edmonton for Thanksgiving this coming weekend. I hope to see lots of you. So, until then or until next time...
Love Jenn
