Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful moms. We had a great weekend here in Grande Prairie as mom and dad came up for a visit. They were able to make it on time on Friday to feed Mason his last bottle, help me with his bath, and put him to bed. He was so excited to see them.

On Saturday, Chris and dad went golfing while mom and I did some much needed shopping! We all met up for a nice lunch and then had Erin and the kids over for a yummy dinner. Dave and Tannis even popped in for a visit. After dinner we went for a walk and showed mom and dad the new house. After Mason was in bed we tried to watch a movie. However, 4 sleepy adults didn't last much longer than Mason and we called it an early night. On Sunday morning we went for a great brunch at Barcelona's (a huge Mother's Day buffet with great food). Mom and Dad said their goodbye's from there and they were off. The weekend flew by but it was great to have them visit. We really like the company, hint, hint, hint!!!

My first Mother's Day was great as Mason and Chris treated me like royalty. I got a really cute card from Mason (it was in his crib when I went to get him Sunday morning-Chris said he didn't know anything about it)! After brunch we went for a hike and then we had a long nap together. I didn't lift a finger all day as Chris did everything.

This week has been so warm (finally)! Mason went to the park for the first time on Monday and seemed to really like the swings. He also wore shorts and sandals for the first time yesterday, isn't he cute. I couldn't resist the photo op. Check out the cute shirt and hat from grandma and grandpa.
