6 months old...

Can you believe it? My little baby is 6 months old; half a year has already gone by! He's changed so much since he was born and I know that this is only the beginning. Over the past few weeks Mason has been working really hard at sitting up and even trying to crawl. He is starting to bring his knees up under his chest. When he's on his tummy and sees something he wants, he kicks his legs so hard; unfortunately he isn't moving too much and is easily frustrated. I think he has his mother's patience!

This past week has been really hot here in GP. We've been taking advantage of the weather and are outside a lot. Mason really likes to have pool parties in the back yard. Since his sitting up is still a little wobbly, we put a bath ring in the pool to keep him up. He loves to splash and play with the toys. Molly loves to drink out of the pool; she thinks it's a a giant water dish!

On the weekend we went to Musreau Lake to meet up with Erin and Doug for the day (they were camping out there for the weekend). Mason got to have his first campfire and his first trip to the beach.

The bugs were really bad so Mason and Reese played in the stroller with the bug net up.

Of course we still go for walks everyday and usually go to the park. Last week Caryse and Reese came too.
And, we were finally able to try out our new stroller/bike trailer on a long bike ride and picnic in the trails. Mason seemed to really like the ride until the way home (we think the helmet was sliding around and rubbing on the back of his head). The picture below will tell the result of an uncomfortable helmet. WARNING, the picture may break your heart!

So, my favorite things about my sweet son over this past month...

1. How much personality he has. Sometimes it's a little overwhelming because he is so vocal and it can seem like he's unhappy. But...he just loves to yell; his way of talking I guess. He always lets us know when he's happy or sad or mad. And if he's mad, watch out!

2. His smile and laughing. He's such a happy baby. I'm sure that he is happy 98% of the day. His smile will melt your heart.

3. His curiosity. He loves to look around and be aware of everything. Even the smallest noises cause him to search for the source.

4. His cuddles. Enough said.

5. What a great eater he is. He loves everything I feed him (he's the only person in the world who likes my cooking). And, he just looks so darn cute with food all over his face.

Until next time, I hope you're all enjoying the warm weather.

Love Jenn
