Of course Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without carving a pumpkin. I was actually surprised that Mason didn't want to get his hands in the goopy pumpkin flesh. But, he did think it was pretty interesting!
Mason also attended his first party, a Halloween party for some of the kids at school. We had it in the school gym so the kids had lots of room to run around and play. Mason loved this car of his friend Bretton. He didn't figure out how to move his feet so that he could get around, but there were enough kids to push him around that he was quite happy. Plus, have you ever seen such a cute Yoda driving a car???
Of course a party wouldn't be complete without food. The kids had wieners and macaroni (and of course fruit and some healthy stuff). Sorry to disappoint everyone, but yes, Mason had a veggie wiener!! It was so cute to see him eating with the "big kids". He was just in his glory the whole time. Although it was the first time he got his own plate and that seemed to be the main part of his entertainment.
On Halloween night, we drove around and did some visiting. First stop was Grandpa and Grandma T's for supper and a play date with the cousins. The picture isn't a great one, but Caryse and Reese dressed up as the famous duo, Dora and Boots.
After Grandma and Grandpa, next stop was our friend Pauline and Eldon's where we met up with Bretton the turtle.
Next stop, Auntie Grace and Uncle Ed's. They spoiled Mason with lots of treats and even a cool new car.
The last stop was Jackie and Brad's to see Rory. Rory was done being a bumble bee but still looked so cute in his "little pumpkin" shirt.
It was a long night for Mason but I think he had a lot of fun. Once he had a bath, grabbed Mr Bunny, and had a bottle (baba), it was off to bed. Maybe next year we'll let him eat some more of the candy and even do a little trick or treating!
