Canada Day and yard work

It was a scorching hot 30 degrees on Canada Day and we spent most of the day outside enjoying the festivities. First thing was the parade down main street here in Grande Prairie. It was a great parade, lasted about 1 1/2 hours, and Mason seemed to really enjoy himself. He had his first sucker (a root beer one from the A & W float), probably the highlight of his day.
A parade wouldn't be complete without the bagpipes!
Erin had to work, but Doug came with the kids.
With the heat and the length of the parade, Mason was one tuckered out little man by the time we got home. Nap time!
The night of Canada Day, our friends Ryan and Nadine had a barbecue. The kids (there are so many now) had a great time running around and playing. Mason and his buddy Jamison especially had fun playing ball and pushing around Jamison's kid size John Deer tractor.

But, the whole long weekend couldn't be just fun and games when there's so much work to be done. Mom and Dad came up for the weekend and were a God send in helping us to get our fence up. Mom took care of Mason and Dad, Chris and I worked for 3 days straight.

Hope all is well with you, talk soon.
Love, Jenn
