I know it's been a little while since the last post but we've been
gallivanting around on holidays and enjoying our summer to the max!!!
Since our last post, we spent a week touring Edmonton, Calgary,
Lethbridge and Jasper. It was a great holiday that involved lots of visiting and a little bit of camping as we borrowed Dave and
Tannis' R.V. to practice for our trip down East.

Of course a trip to the South wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Calgary Zoo. Mason loved the animals and amazed us at how much he actually noticed. He especially loved the elephants and the Northern Animals exhibit.

In Jasper we made a trip to
Maligne Lake. It was a cold day so we didn't stay too long, but we hiked a little way around the lake. Mason saw his first squirrel/chipmunk (I never know what those things really are) and thought it was the greatest thing ever.

As for his first camping trip, he loved it. He thought the campfire was really neat to look at, he loved to sit in his new camping chair, he slept great in the R.V. and loved waking up with mom and dad and the fresh mountain air.
In Edmonton, Grandma Grue hooked us up with some "Reserved Seating" for the Capital Ex parade.
Unfortunately, the parade was pretty boring and Mason would not sit still. But mom and I still had a nice morning visiting and hanging out with Mason.

In Edmonton, we did a family outing (including Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie and Uncle) to the Capital Ex. Mason and Grandpa did
their now second annual ride on the roller coaster. Mason was spoiled by everyone and went on quite a few rides (however, not all were very child friendly, oops)!

We were really lucky that night to have a bunch of friends (who we never get to see anymore) meet up with us at the fair grounds for a few bevies in the beer gardens. It was so great to see everyone.

After Edmonton, we headed further south for a visit in
Lethbridge with Uncle Jordan and Auntie Elaine. We were able to spend some time visiting and Mason got to play with Elaine's nephews.

After our Alberta trip, we returned home for a few days, finished the fence, did some
laundry and were off again. This time it was our long awaited trip to Nova
Scotia. This turned out to be the trip of a life time. Mason was unbelievable for the entire week. He travelled so well, enjoyed everything we did, and just seemed to be in the best mood ever. Although it rained nearly the entire week, we had a blast. We travelled 2200 km, covered nearly the entire province, including Cape Breton Island, saw many beautiful sights, and just spent an amazing week together as a family. I would highly recommend camping in the
maritimes with your family. It's a trip I will never forget.

Reuben and Michaela's Wedding (the real reason for the trip). The wedding was beautiful, held at a
yaught club in Halifax, and so much fun. Mason was the star of the night (other than the bride and groom of course). Congratulations to you both and thank you so much for including us in your special day.

The following video was taken at the Citadel in Halifax. Mason caught sight of some pigeons and decided he wanted to join in on
their fun. At first he
squatted down and was saying hi to them all. This is the part I was able to catch on video.
We hope your all enjoying your summer as much as we are. Talk to you all soon,
Love Jenn
