Man does time fly! Our little man is already 7 weeks old tomorrow. It seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital. Yet, I can't imagine what life was like before he arrived.
Things here are going great. I absolutely love motherhood. Mason and I spend our days eating, sleeping and playing. Everyday is new for Mason as he explores the world around him. Last Saturday we saw his first smile and they are around all the time now. The other day he found his hands. He loves to hold them out in front of himself and just stare. It's pretty funny to watch how entertained he is by his 2 little hands. He is also becoming quite independent. He can sit in his bouncy chair or his bumbo chair for half an hour just looking around.
The last 2 nights have been wonderful as Mason has also slept entirely through the night. Last night it was 8 1/2 hours. Chris and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful baby.
To sum up the past month and a half, my favorite things about Mason are,
1. After he's done eating, he arches his back, stretches his arms up, shakes his head and sticks out his bottom lip (so cute)!
2. When he's pooping (he'll kill me one day for writing this), he turns beat red, grunts, goes cross eyes and totally hunches his shoulders forward
3. When he's really hungry, he shakes his head from side to side like a wild animal
4. The way he curls his legs up and cuddles right into me when he's tired
Can you tell that I'm just a little bit in love with this new man in my life!!! Until next time...
